Hunting. gathering and collecting broken, discarded, and neglected pieces and reassembling them bring them new life. These objects appear to reincarnate in a new manifestation..." - Susan Major

Artist Barb Anderson of BARBANDERSONART.COM

Many of her shapes and lines represent what she sees in her mind not what the viewer may see. The ambiguity of her work is what makes it interesting to her. She paints to please herself. She will tell you that her work is influenced by her growing up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where nothing was straight forward; the nooks and crannies hidden in the hills hold many secrets and the houses perched at impossible angles atop rocks as ancient as the coal beneath them, entrance her.
